Our company journey dates back to 2014, when our founders Kev and Jan met in Sierra Leone. Kev had been planting in
Africa for nearly a decade, Jan, having given up banking was developing sustainable supply chains in palm oil in South America. Both bonded over thedream to build the first organic and RSPO palm plantation and out grower farmer model in Sierra Leone, wanting to give customers a true experience of connecting to the source. Nowadays, Planting Naturals is a vertically integrated company fully committed to the sustainable production of organic products, which are cultivated using only 100% organic practices via smallholder farmers and our own plantations in Sierra Leone, ensuring a traceability from farm to fork, to its customers in the Food, Cosmetics, Feed and Infant Nutrition industries, from the Europe to China and North America.
We strive to demonstrate that palm oil, grown organically using sustainable practices and certified through third party certifications, can preserve the environment, bring positive economic support to local communities and create sustainable livelihoods for everyone involved. Planting Naturals has started to rewild part of its plantations back to forest, becoming the first company in the world to be able to supply carbon neutral palm oil, traceable to plantation.
